Brass Tantalus with Decanters

Named for the mythological figure forever surrounded by things just out of reach, the tantalus was designed to do exactly that, display the spirits prominently while keeping them locked away from wandering hands. This one is a beauty: a brass frame with turned columns and twisted rope detailing, three original glass decanters stenciled in gold for Gin, Scotch, and likely Bourbon, and the signature locking bar across the top. The kind of bar piece that once sat in a proper parlor, ready for company, and perfect for Derby entertaining, where a well-made mint julep is as much a ritual as the race itself.
