This cream-ground Italian ceramic watering can is hand-painted in the European folk tradition, its body filled with a small, quiet world: a garden snail with a spiraled shell, a roosting bird, and loosely rendered blooms in terracotta, teal, and ochre. The decoration continues into the borders, with fan scallops along the base and a dot-and-floral band near the collar, and the spout tip is finished in a soft dusty mauve that gives the whole piece a warmth. Perfect for fresh flowers or on its own as a decorative accent.
