The interior is fitted as a flower frog, with multiple stem holes arranged around a central hole, making it as functional as it is decorative. Fenton's jadeite hobnail pieces are among their most collected, and this is a particularly pretty example of the form. Patent number visible on the base alongside the Fenton mark.
